Aircraft Twirls Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Well-Known Southern California Shoreline

A helicopter hovering above a popular coastal coastline suddenly started spinning uncontrollably, finally losing altitude and crashing into a line of palm fronds as beachgoers looked on.

Videos uploaded on the internet depict the helicopter beginning to twirl over the beach then plunging in the direction of the perimeter of the shore, where it gets stuck among palms and a steps close to the shoreline route.

Rescue Operation Update

Emergency responders reported five persons were transported to a medical facility involving two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the incident on that day.

Three individuals on the street were harmed. Specifics on their wounds were still under review.

What led to the incident was still under investigation.
